Oenophile friends together to create DOTE wines
Conducting this project are the two Friends, an Enophile and another Wine Maker. The creation of DOTEWINE Vinhos e Azeites.
Give life to a wine with its own character and personality, made "à DOTE". In 2014, the Amigos project starts.
Based on terroir and grapes of great quality and oenological richness, so typical of the Douro, the DOTE project brings a methodology, combining ancestry and modernity with the production of quality wines.
Located in the Douro, Cima Corgo sub-region in the Rio Tua valley near Carlão, in the heart of the Douro, are the Vinha do Carlos, Vinha do Jorge and António's vineyards from which we take our red grapes from the Touriga variety Nacional, Tinta Roriz, Tinta Francisca, Moorish Seed and Sousão. Still in the old vineyards, more than 80 years old, they present a great diversity of grape varieties, with great lost treasures. That all together in this distinctive terroir bring us great complexity, aroma and charisma to DOTE wines. At 550m we have our white grapes, from the Viosinho, Malvasia Fina, Gouveio, Rabigato, Códega do Larinho and others without name.
